Think Tank
Welcome to the Europe+ think tank
The Europe+ Foundation, set up by Ernst & Young and the PGA Group, is jointly presided by Patrick Gounelle, CEO, Ernst & Young, France and Southern Europe, and Pierre Guénant, Chairman of PGA Group. Its Chief Executive is Patrice Lefeu.
Dedicated to the attractiveness of Europe and its regions, the Foundation aims to be a reference for the European Union, its Member States and regions, bringing together political leaders, business executives, international investors and experts. Its mission involves identifying effective levers for the attractiveness of Europe and developing recommendations in support of reforms to enhance European competitiveness in line with the Lisbon Agenda.
Through its high-level Think Tank, Europe+ makes a continued contribution to issues of importance for Europe, and, by the same token, provides a channel for the influence of business, European regions and civil society in favour of growth, employment, research and innovation.
The Foundation draws on the contributions of a network including international business executives, regional and national development agencies, representatives of EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Parliament, academics, and representatives of unions and business associations — in a word, everyone with an interest in promoting the attractiveness and competitiveness of Europe. Europe+ provides a unique, interdisciplinary forum for discussion of issues of importance for Europe, and for contribution to the development of national and EU strategies for the Lisbon Agenda.
Favouring a pragmatic approach based on projects and case studies, the Think Tank is not associated with any interest group representing a business sector or professional group, and provides balanced advices with a European added value.
Once a year, the Think Tank brings together all participants for a general meeting.
The subjects emerging from the World Investment Conference, the conclusions of the LA BAULE sessions and workshops and the topics treated by the Think Tank panels are summarized into a report of recommendations to the European Commission and Member State authorities.
